ABOUT US

Our Mission

The Tri-County Kentucky United Way mobilizes the caring power of our communities to improve the quality of life for all by supporting local health and human service programs and addressing local issues in Marion, Nelson and Washington Counties.

Our Vision

To address urgent community needs, financial security, health and well-being, and youth opportunities within Marion, Nelson, and Washington counties. We strive to ensure that everyone has the resources, supports, opportunities, and networks they need to thrive.

Communities We Serve

The Tri-County Kentucky United Way serves communities within the counties of Marion, Nelson, and Washington in Kentucky. These three counties cover 1,072 square miles with 78,380 residents.

Our Priority Areas

We support programs, discussions, and initiatives that help to provide a good quality of life and  build stronger communities through the following priority areas:
  • Community Resilience such as disaster relief and recovery and crisis support
  • Financial Security such as job readiness and workforce development, financial education, homeless prevention, and individual financial assistance
  • Healthy Community such as food security, mental/physical health, support for the abused, substance use services, legal services, aging, and satisfying basic needs
  • Youth Opportunity such as childcare and early childhood development, in-school, afterschool, and summer learning, literacy development, family engagement, career and college readiness, and supporting youth mental health
