Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement |
The Tri-County Kentucky United Way welcomes, understands, and respects the diversity of our clients, donors, staff, volunteers, and community partners. Our strength comes from our diversity, and we celebrate the uniqueness of individuals, the power of the collective good, and the importance of our communities.
We appreciate that every person brings a unique perspective and experience, as well as different attributes, characteristics, skills, qualifications, and attitudes, to advance our mission. We believe that bringing diverse individuals together allows us to collectively and more effectively address the issues facing our communities and create opportunities for a better life for all. We recognize that in order to achieve our mission, we must continuously strive to be relevant and responsive to our community as a whole. We believe that every individual is worthy of dignity and respect, regardless of race, ethnicity, cultural, national origin, language, religion, physical, mental and/or developmental ability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, socioeconomic status, and/or veteran status. We work to continually improve our understanding and application of inclusion and equity to address disparities in the communities that we serve alongside our partners and within our strategies and investments. We firmly oppose all forms of racism, intolerance, discrimination, injustice, and exclusion of any kind. We strive to ensure that everyone has the resources, supports, opportunities, and networks they need to thrive within our local communities. |
